Job description


Job Summary
Assist with implementing and maintaining an effective quality management system and acts as interface between the customer and various departments throughout the facilities in order to meet customer specific requirements. Focal point in implementing continuous improvement program and support QA/QC functions.
Executes quality assurance processes independently, conducts audits, and ensures compliance with oil and gas regulations.
Responsibilities
Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford's Management System
Maintains service quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement.
Perform inspections and audits across projects.
Analyze quality data and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain compliance with ISO/API standards.
Prepare detailed QA reports and documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Support the ISO/API and Weatherford Quality Management System.
Follow all Weatherford safety rules and requirements
Work closely with QC receiving inspection and purchasing group. Manage and improve supplier quality.
Assist QC technician in NCR follow up.
Work closely with manufacturing, identify opportunity for improvement and follow up on CPAR to reduce scrap and process variation.
Review customer requirements, develop and improve QCP to major customers, manage status of customer Level 5 orders related to quality; work closely with QC on TPI activities.
Follow up on supplier CAR; audit key suppliers as necessary.
Perform assigned internal quality audit, manage and improve QMS documentation system, report CPAR and NCR status to management
Work closely with product engineering and manufacturing on the introduction of new product.
Complete assigned quality improvement project assigned by QA manager.
Provide Quality advice and input to questionnaires, pre-qualifications, tenders and contracts
Relate with all departments internally and externally as necessary to maintain and enhance the Company's reputation for Quality.
Increase the Quality awareness of all employees and ensure that all subcontractors and suppliers are aware of our requirements.
Know and understand Weatherford's Enterprise Excellence Process and the Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
Produce a monthly report to Management as necessary
Identify and recommend any changes or innovations to policy, procedures, training and organization to further the Company's goals to be leaders in reliability
Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Skills/Education Required
University Degree/Diploma with 6 yrs related experience
May have Master's/Grad Degree & 4 yrs experience
QBE - Qualified by Experience
Ability to work independently in a self-directed manner, and to work collaboratively in a team-focused atmosphere. Team player, self starter, data driven.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal & external stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Requires excellent technical writing and interpersonal skills
Must be able to manage multiple tasks in a high energy environment
Knowledge of Quality Assurance principles
Computer literate, advanced proficiency of Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and ERP systems
ISO 9001 or other industry standard QMS audit training/experience/certification, proficiency in formal auditing techniques
Presentation skills enabling effective demonstration of concepts, findings and recommendations to management, Customers, external agencies and auditors
Skills in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action
Ability to read and interpret specifications, engineering drawings, and blueprints
Skills/Education Preferred
3+ years of experience in quality assurance with Oil & Gas manufacturing company.
2+ years' experience with manufacturing company in QA/QC function
ASQ CQE and/or CQA
Knowledge of electronics and PCBAs.
Knowledge of IPC standards IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001.
Knowledge of GD&T.
Knowledge of quality tools such as PFMEA, G R&R, process flow map, and control plan.
Knowledge of statistical analysis tools such as SPC, Cpk, Ppk, ANOVA, and pareto
Proficiency developing reports with Power BI or similar software.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, API Q1 and Q2 requirements
Experience managing calibration program
Experience in process improvement
Travel Requirement
This role may require domestic and potentially international travel of up to: <10%
