As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for creating, organizing, maintaining and implementing a Quality Management System (QMS) program/manual and support procedures written to follow API Q1 requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for reporting and responding to all quality conformance findings issues related to the Company’s operations
  • Liaison with Engineering, Manufacturing, Service, and Sales developing recommendations to reduce NCR’s
  • Lead the Quality Committee at each Black Diamond location
  • Researching and creating policies, procedures, and reports related to continuous improvements
  • Providing training on various quality issues for all employees
  • Interacting with peers in external organizations
  • Maintaining required record keeping and documentation
  • Leads and participates in staff quality meetings
  • Maintain quality corrective action programs, including internal and external audits
  • Lead and comply with all applicable Black Diamond quality, safety, environmental and general standards and policies
  • Conduct and/or provide orientation of the Quality management system for new staff members
  • Conduct annual Management Review meetings per API Q1 requirements
  • Reviewing all incidents/NCR reports, compiling and analyzing monthly, quarterly and yearly statistics
  • Issue NCR’s and CAR’s in support of the Company’s daily operational requirements
  • Conduct annual performance reviews (providing input) of direct reports in conjunction with the facilities line management

Minimum Experience and Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree and/or 15 years relevant experience with ISO/QM systems 
  • Ability to liaise both internally and externally
  • Ability to provide leadership in the implementation of quality management systems, processes and procedures
  • Competency in computer operations (i.e.: Microsoft Office products and ERP Systems)
  • Positively driving change in the way decisions are made by proactively challenging the established mindset, ensuring the governance of the quality requirements
  • Requires a consistent, diplomatic and responsive approach in high stress situations
  • Ability to travel to other Black Diamond locations as required (approximate 20% travel)
