Job Description Our client is a leading provider of custom electrical power systems, specializing in switchboards, motor control centers, and automation solutions for industries such as energy, solar, and manufacturing. They are recognized for their commitment to quality, innovation, and maintaining rigorous industry standards. They're seeking an experienced QMS Specialist to add to their team in the Houston, TX area.

Successful candidates must pass a background check, MVR check and drug screening as a requirement for these positions. QMS Specialist Benefits: Direct hire Competitive salary Comprehensive benefits package Opportunity for career advancement & growth QMS Specialist Responsibilities: Administer and maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) Manage document control processes, including revisions, distribution, and compliance Own and oversee the calibration program for inspection, measurement, and test equipment Ensure calibration traceability, scheduling, and compliance with internal and customer requirements Lead internal audit programs and support external ISO and UL audits Monitor QMS performance through KPIs, trend analysis, and reporting Maintain the Risk & Opportunities Register and support management review activities Prepare and present QMS performance reports to leadership Identify QMS-related training needs and support internal training initiatives Support NCR investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA activities as needed (non-owner) Collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a quality-focused culture QMS Specialist Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience) 5-7 years of experience in QMS administration within a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality management principles Experience managing document control systems and audit processes Hands-on experience with calibration programs and measurement traceability Familiarity with electrical manufacturing environments and applicable standards (UL, etc.) preferred Strong analytical skills with experience in KPI tracking and reporting Ability to lead audits and interface with external auditors Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment QMS Specialist Preferred: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification Six Sigma Green Belt OSHA 10 certification #OFI.
