Job description

OVERVIEW:

The Cycle Counter is responsible for the day-to-day warehouse inventory monitoring to ensure that inventory counts are current and accurate. The Cycle Counter is also expected to have mechanical knowledge and skills to operate a lift truck in a safe and professional manner under all conditions. When utilizing the Lift Trucks, the person in this role is expected to maneuver the forklift at a reasonable and prudent speed, looking closely for pedestrians or other motorized vehicles as well as fine manipulation with a respect to the preservation of product, building structure and property

This position places a strong significance on effective teamwork, clear communication, sound judgment, safety orientation, achieving and maintaining production efficiency and dedication to the quality of our product.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain PIT certification
  • Observes all Safety Rules and is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area.
  • Performs duties of general help and job assignments as required.

All Live Comfortably associates play a crucial role in meeting our customer requirements and are expected after initial training to perform with minimal supervision. Associates may be asked to assist with other duties and work in other departments when needed to meet those requirements.

CYCLE COUNTER DUTIES

Inventory

  • Correct locations based on cycle counts
  • Investigate and find missing stock

Cycle Count

  • Investigation of issues that arise through the cycle count process
  • Ensure materials are in proper locations. Conducts searches in order to locate misclassified inventory
  • Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items and/or weigh materials to determine quantity on hand. Weigh and mark product displaying remaining product left
  • Determine causes of mismatched inventory counts
  • Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products to team lead/supervisor/manager as required.
  • Adhere to all Company safety policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Perform other duties as required

REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 yearsโ€™ experience in same or similar industry preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and follow directions

While performing the duties of this job, the associate spends most of time standing. Also required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and maneuver around production equipment throughout the shift. The Associate is occasionally required to balance., stoop and bends regularly to move/lift material or equipment (typically less than 50 lbs).

The ability to communicate and specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Manufacturing / Production Floor: While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate however there may be areas designated as Hearing Protection required and provided earplugs are mandatory in those areas.

Not all areas of the plant and warehouse are climate controlled and exposure to heat and/or cold can occur. The Associate is frequently exposed to dust and floating particles used in the manufacturing, storage and inventory of raw materials and finished goods.
