The Opportunity

As the Senior Director of PX Governance, you will design and operate the enterprise governance system that aligns strategy and execution, across initiatives impacting the patient experience in CMG at Genentech. What you can expect in this role at Genentech:

  • Design and operate the enterprise PX governance model, establishing decision-making frameworks, forums, and accountability loops.

  • Facilitate key cross-functional bodies including the PX Steering Committee to drive structured decision-making and accountability.

  • Surface, frame, and escalate critical decisions, strategic trade-offs, and enterprise risks to PX leadership, PX Steering Committee, and USLT.

  • Set enterprise guardrails for patient-facing experiences (including solutions, roles, materials, and services)

  • Define and operationalize PX KPIs and outcomes frameworks to measure operational performance, patient engagement, and long-term economic ROI.

  • Maintain a consolidated view of PX financial performance and portfolio investments to guide strategic prioritization and planning cycles.

  • Lead, develop, and coach a high-performing team, fostering enterprise thinking, psychological safety, and resilience through organizational change.

Who you are
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required (MBA or advanced degree preferred) with 10+ years of professional industry experience in biotech, pharma, or related sectors.

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex matrixed organizations and interface with Senior Leadership to drive strategic alignment and decision-making.

  • Proven track record of managing complex cross-functional dependencies, negotiating trade-offs, and securing buy-in from senior stakeholders.

  • Strong background in financial planning and analysis, portfolio prioritization, and process optimization.

  • Tech-savvy with a solid understanding of how to leverage data and digital tools to enhance patient outcomes.

Preferred
  • Prior people management experience with a track record of coaching and developing high-performing teams.

  • MBA or an advanced degree in a related business, healthcare, or quantitative discipline.

  • Deep knowledge of healthcare regulatory environments, patient data ethics/privacy protocols, and patient support governance frameworks.

Location
  • This role is based in South San Francisco and offers a hybrid schedule working 3 days per week on campus

  • No relocation benefits are available for this posting

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of CA is $209,000 - $388,100. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below. Benefits
