Job Summary
Purdue Veterinary Hospital is looking to add to our Small Animal Internal Medicine team where the veterinary assistant will be responsible for patient restraint and care, set-up and assisting during various endoscopic, laser, and surgical procedures (including specialty equipment and instruments), assisting with sample collection, client communication, and client education. The assistant is a vital member of the team, helping to ensure that all treatment areas are stocked with supplies and biosecurity methods are followed. The Internal Medicine team works Monday-Friday.

Purdue University, located in West Lafayette, Indiana, is a beautiful campus that supports both a College of Veterinary Medicine as well as an associate and bachelor's degree program in Veterinary Technology. What We're Looking For:
Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of work experience in a veterinary hospital

Skills needed:
  • Able to listen to and follow both verbal and written directions.
  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills with the ability to read and write in English.
  • Must have confidence around domestic animals
