We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement / Purchasing Agent to support our five Wisconsin branch locations - Butler, Madison, La Crosse, Stevens Point, and Little Chute. This position is responsible for purchasing commercial and residential roofing materials across all Wisconsin branches, playing a critical role in keeping our sales teams equipped and our customers well-served. The successful candidate may be based out of our Butler, Madison, or Little Chute locations.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Procure commercial and residential roofing materials for all five Wisconsin branch locations
โ€ข Create purchase orders; review deliveries, confirmations, and invoices for accuracy
โ€ข Coordinate with warehouse managers to schedule deliveries and ensure on-time fulfillment
โ€ข Alert appropriate departments of changes to delivery schedules, pricing, or supplier requests
โ€ข Monitor and manage inventory levels in collaboration with sales management
โ€ข Arrange returns for unacceptable or defective products to suppliers
โ€ข Assist the sales team in the quoting process by providing accurate and estimated material costs
โ€ข Research, develop, and maintain strong supplier relationships; select suppliers based on performance, product offerings, and service
โ€ข Proactively identify and quantify risks impacting the material supply chain and customer order fulfillment
Compare and evaluate supplier offers, negotiating cost reductions wherever possible
Job Requirements:
โ€ข Experience and understanding of supply chain procedures
โ€ข Knowledge of inventory control principles and practices
โ€ข Computer proficiency with MS Office, Excel, and Outlook
โ€ข Prior M3 (Infor) experience preferred
โ€ข Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions
โ€ข Strong written and verbal communication skills
โ€ข Highly organized with strong attention to detail
โ€ข Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player
โ€ข Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with urgency and accuracy
โ€ข Valid driver's license
