Job description

Mainly responsible for acknowledging inbound and/or outbound physical and systematically materials (raw materials, components and/or equipment's). 

  • Able to work with minimum supervision.

  • Applies communication skills to work as a team group.

  • Complies with the Quality System Regulation (QSR) and ISO 13485.

  • Executes job responsibilities as established in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

  • Teamwork oriented

  • Initiative and problem-solving skills

  • Able to work overtime if necessary, with minimum supervision

  • Good interpersonal skills at all levels

  • Highly motivated, self-starter, and responsible person

  • Applies mathematical skills and concepts.

  • Execute safety and operational inspections associates with material handling equipment.

  • Unexpired Puerto Rico driver's license is required since the position requires to operate pallet jack or finger as usual and integral part of the job

    Preferred experience in Warehouse / Logistics

    Preferred experience in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Environment

    High School Diploma, Preferred associate degree in Business Administration

Receiving

  • Receives and segregate raw material and MRO items from the carriers with attention to items requiring special handling like temperature control, corrosive or flammable material.

  • Operates forklift or pallet jack to locate material and manage heavy loads.

  • Register in the inventory management system the material against the referenced purchase order.

  • Verify and notify purchasing and/or accounting department any discrepancy on manufacturing lot number, differences or doubts concerning the merchandise received. 

  • Maintain log and trace receiving variance until receipts acknowledge can be recorder into ordering system. 

  • Prepares and stamp quarantine labels to incoming raw materials.

  • Prepare and keep control log of MRO material delivered and coordinate storage it or delivery the item to the owner. 

  • Maintain appropriate filing for all receiving documentations which supported system receiving transaction.

  • Assist with Freight Invoice matching with Purchase Order or Account per materials owners.

Shipping

  • Prepare all shipping documents required to execute a shipment, such as Commercial Invoice, Packing list, Airbill or Bill of Landing and Hazardous Materials Forms (if required) in accordance with export regulations.

  • Provide Shipping Pre-Alert to all distribution center of lens being shipped from CooperVision, Juana Diaz or shipping communication to miscellaneous shipments requestors.

  • Coordinate pick-up and delivery of all shipments (Lens, materials or equipment's) with carriersPrepare Return to Vendor shipping documentation.

  • Maintain appropriate filing for all shipment records with their respective invoicing and/or shipping request forms.

  • Prepare and maintain shipments history records. 

  • Prepare shipping documentation and maintain inventory accuracy for polypropylene in octavins.

  • Support Cycle Count and physical inventory activities. 

  • Maintain good inventory storage and handling practice.

  • Maintain good housekeeping practice.

  • Support internal and external audits related to inbound / outbound of merchandise.

  • Participate in any other duties related to Warehouse and Logistics activities as required.
