Job description

NABRICO Marine Products is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Purchasing Manager - MRO to join our team in Ashland City, Tennessee. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) materials, tools, equipment, and services that support the reliability and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong procurement experience in a manufacturing environment, exceptional negotiation skills, and a commitment to maintaining inventory levels while controlling costs.

What You'll Do
  • Source, evaluate, and develop relationships with suppliers to ensure quality products, competitive pricing, and reliable delivery.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and purchasing agreements to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
  • Review purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders with accurate specifications, quantities, and delivery requirements.
  • Monitor and track purchase orders to ensure materials and services are delivered on time.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of MRO supplies to support production while minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Analyze inventory usage and purchasing trends to forecast future MRO requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction through strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Production, Operations, and other departments to ensure purchasing activities align with business needs.
  • Resolve supplier quality, delivery, or service issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure compliance with company procurement policies.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent manufacturing purchasing experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 7 years of MRO purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, purchasing practices, and supplier relationship management.
  • Experience negotiating contracts, pricing, and vendor agreements.
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems and purchasing software.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Work Schedule
  • Monday through Friday
