Job description

Description

  • Conduct on-site review of substrate. Identify potential issues. May need to obtain PM assistance.ย ย 
  • Use jobsite checklist and report to PMย 
  • Review all drawings to become familiar with the project.ย 
  • Review status of materials to coordinate material logistics.ย 
  • Study the scope of work prior to the start of the project.ย ย 
  • Conduct a pre-site reviewย 
  • Complete the preconstruction checklistย 
  • Arrange secure storage area for materials that are delivered to job siteย 
  • Conduct moisture testing as required.ย 
  • Tracking GC schedules and forecasting labor and material needs.ย 
  • Use plans to identify areas to be completed next.ย ย 
  • Visit the job trailer weekly to review the GCs set of plans to ensure any changes in the plans are communicated to the PM and installers.ย 
  • Responsible for getting the material back to the warehouse that won't be used in the field. ย 
  • Complete the Extra Work Ticket timely, accurately, and in a detailed manner.ย ย 
  • Evaluate installer work and provide them with preemptive punch list items that they need to correct prior to GC walkthrough.ย 
  • The goal is to achieve no punch closeoutsย 
  • Conduct Toolbox Talksย 
  • Communicate safety needsย 
  • Inspect PPEย 
  • Monitor and enforce PPE rulesย 
  • Attend weekly/daily foreman meetingsย 
  • Quality Controlย 
  • Review project specifications and installation instructions to ensure the performance quality of the work is achieved.
  • Monitor and enforce OSHA safety rulesย 
  • Conduct final jobsite walkthroughsย 
  • Schedule labor to complete punch list itemsย 
  • Schedule installers to complete punch list items they were responsible for.ย 
  • Provide installers with punch listย 
  • Ensure all repair work that is chargeable is tracked appropriately via EWT or communicated to PM for change order creationย 
  • Closeout punch list with GC/customerย 
  • If tracked through GC/customer software, make sure PL items are marked complete in the softwareย 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor's degree in an industry-specific role is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in supervising field operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • The ability to work in different environmental conditions.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Sound knowledge of contract terms and pricing.
