Our client, a respected commercial general contractor, is seeking an experienced Punch Superintendent to lead final project completion, punch list execution, closeout coordination, and turnover activities on a residential and mixed-use construction project in North Florida.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented construction professional who excels during the final stages of a project and takes pride in delivering a polished, owner-ready product.Position Overview
The Punch Superintendent is responsible for managing all punch list activities, coordinating subcontractor completion efforts, overseeing final inspections, and ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and to the highest quality standards.
This role works closely with Project Management, Quality Control, MEP teams, subcontractors, and ownership representatives to drive project completion while maintaining exceptional organization, documentation, and accountability.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead punch list walks and manage completion activities throughout residential units, common areas, amenities, back-of-house spaces, and exterior improvements.
  • Create and maintain deficiency logs, completion schedules, and trade-specific punch tracking.
  • Prioritize punch items based on turnover schedules and project milestones.
  • Coordinate daily completion plans with subcontractors to ensure timely resolution of outstanding work.
  • Partner with MEP, Quality Control, Interior Finish teams, and Project Management to remove obstacles impacting project completion.
  • Maintain organized documentation, photo records, inspection reports, and closeout tracking.
  • Coordinate final inspections and ensure all project documentation is complete prior to owner turnover.
  • Verify project cleanliness, protection, and presentation standards before final handoff.
  • Hold subcontractors accountable for schedule adherence, workmanship, and quality expectations.
  • Communicate project completion status and turnover readiness to leadership.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent, Finish Superintendent, Punch Superintendent, or Field Superintendent on commercial, multifamily, hospitality, or mixed-use construction projects.
  • Proven experience leading punch list completion, closeout activities, and final project turnover.
  • Strong understanding of interior finishes, MEP completion, inspections, and quality control processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors during the final stages of construction.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar punch list and construction management software.
  • Florida construction experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
