Job description

The Military/Marine Application Engineer (AE) has four core functions: product selection & quoting, customer support/troubleshooting & problem solving, product/market training, and production/testing/manufacturing support. The AE works with Channel Partners (Shipyards, Govt Contracting Officers, Military Dealers, System Integrators), Military/Marine Sales team and PSG Sales Managers across the globe. Promote new products and identify new product opportunities. Problem solves with Sales, Technicians, Engineers, and others. Coordinates and conducts training to various levels of staff, customers, distributors, and end users. 

What You’ll Do

 

  • Delivers rapid, accurate and efficient answers to incoming inquiries.
  • Provides technical support with product selection, system design, and/or fluid transfer.
  • Prepares and conducts application related training.
  • Learns and understands regulations & design practices relevant for critical applications.
  • Reviews special requests and scopes solutions that enhance existing products for unique market needs.
  • Supports manufacturing, production, assembly, and testing of Military/Marine products.
  • Generate test reports and other non-hardware deliverables and prepare submittals to customers.
  • Participates in meetings, seminars, trainings, and trade shows to stay informed of broader market trends.
  • Interfaces with other functional areas in the development of new products, services, or solutions.
  • Other duties as required in the support of business activities.

What You’ll Bring

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • 1-3 years of experience or experience in technical sales, product management, or engineering.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions with incomplete information, and communicate.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), and web-based tools.
  • Certificates and Licenses: Professional licensure is a plus.
