Zantech is looking for a talented Senior Technical Writer/Editor to contribute to the success of our upcoming Program Management and Cyber Support Services project for an Onsite role based out of Arlington, VA.
The Senior Technical Writer/Editor will play a crucial role in providing:
  • Technical Messaging Support
  • Technical writing and editing of cybersecurity publications
  • Publication process management and quality assurance
  • CISA.gov website publishing
  • Section 508 compliance and accessibility
  • Stakeholder feedback and communication strategy

The Senior Technical Writer/Editor serves as the lead for technical messaging and publication efforts, serving as the primary authority for producing high-quality cybersecurity alerts, advisories, reports, and analysis documents that constitute the voice of CISA Cyber. This position oversees the end-to-end publication process, ensuring all publications adhere to DHS style guidelines, Section 508 accessibility standards, and federal best practices while delivering accurate, timely, and actionable cybersecurity information to diverse stakeholders.
Impact: Direct influence on the quality and effectiveness of CISA's cybersecurity communications reaching federal agencies, private sector, and international partners.
Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:
  • Oversee efforts to professionalize external communications through high-quality technical and operational publications
  • Ensure all publications adhere to established DHS style guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards for all government publications
  • Maintain consistency across different publication platforms and products
  • Draft, edit, and publish cybersecurity alerts, technical advisories, reports, and analysis documents
  • Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and understandable content for various audiences
  • Work closely with CISA's internal teams including threat analysts and incident response coordinators
  • Coordinate with interagency, private sector, and international partners to gather necessary technical information
  • Oversee end-to-end publication process ensuring materials are reviewed, approved, and disseminated promptly
  • Coordinate input from subject matter experts and fact-check content
  • Maintain repository of published content ensuring materials are easily accessible and organized

Required Experience or Knowledge of the following technologies/functions:
