About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Publications Coordinator to provide temporary support to their Publications team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized and detail-oriented professional who can quickly step in and support the full publication lifecycle, from initial submission through final publication.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with submission workflows, strong communication skills, and the ability to provide excellent customer service while managing detailed processes and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end publication process, including submission intake, author communication, review coordination, and final publication preparation.
- Manage communication with authors and stakeholders throughout the submission lifecycle.
- Draft and update professional correspondence, email templates, process documents, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain accurate records and track submission progress through internal systems.
- Provide administrative support to ensure publications move efficiently through each stage of the process.
- Respond to inquiries with a high level of professionalism and customer service.
- Assist with process improvements and documentation updates as needed.
- Work effectively within a cloud-based environment and collaborate with internal teams.
Required Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage complex processes and deadlines.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and workflows.
- Experience supporting publication, editorial, academic, healthcare, association, or similar processes preferred.
- Familiarity with manuscript or submission management systems (experience with eJournalPress or similar platforms is a plus).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with external stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working in cloud-based systems and collaborative work environments.
