Account Manager, Lifestyle

PR Consulting is a brand strategy and public relations agency that specializes in developing and communicating authentic narratives to position companies and individuals across multi-platform channels.

Our company is seeking candidates for the Manager role within our Lifestyle team, supporting senior level staff across best in class hospitality, culinary, design and CPG. The ideal candidate would be joining our dynamic team, and should be enthusiastic, dedicated, and culture obsessed.

The Manager will be part of PR Consulting's team in New York and report directly to the department's Directors. This role is in person Monday - Thursday with remote work on Fridays.

Job Description:

  • Support senior staff in the ideation and development of strategy supporting clients' goals
  • Pitch and secure media coverage on client activity across both traditional and new media
  • Ideate creative pitches, media angles and partnerships
  • Manage media requests for editorial opportunities and events - supporting on-site as needed
  • Liaise directly with clients and manage day to day account activity
  • Create media alerts, releases, and other press collateral
  • Plan and execute events and brand activations 
  • Research and share analysis on top trends within the lifestyle and culinary industries
  • Demonstrate strong relationships with target press and influencers
  • Build and maintain target media lists, consistently developing new relationships aligned with the ever-changing landscape
  • Develop influencer seeding strategy and oversee logistics
  • Ideate, brainstorm and help drive client partnerships to full term success 
  • Oversee reporting to ensure deliverables are accurate and timely
  • Oversee junior staff (assistant and coordinator) development, roles and responsibilities 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4-5 years of agency or in-house experience, ideally with relevant brands across hospitality, culinary, design, culture, and/or lifestyle and spaces
  • Ability to work onsite at our offices in the Financial District, New York from 9:30a - 6:00p plus client events as needed
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively and concisely communicate ideas to clients, media, senior team members and colleagues - strong deck-building and writing skills are essential
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality, lifestyle, culture and fashion/retail media landscapes 
  • Proven track record in securing top tier coverage in print, online, broadcast and new media
  • Strong grasp on the digital landscape (Instagram, Tik Tok, Substack, etc.)
  • Superior time management skills, ability to work quickly and efficiently, prioritize and multitask
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Experience in supervising/mentoring junior staff
  • Enthusiastic and collaborative attitude, ambitious team player

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000
