About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Product Marketing, Public Investing, to lead our product marketing function within our public investing franchise. This senior leadership role is responsible for developing and executing compelling product narratives, go-to-market strategies, and positioning frameworks across our public investing market strategies. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between investment management, marketing, and distribution, translating complex investment concepts into differentiated value propositions for institutional, intermediary, and retail audiences.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and own the product marketing strategy across the public investing franchise, aligned with firm-wide growth objectives
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing product marketing team
  • Partner closely with senior leadership, CPMs, portfolio management, distribution, and marketing to ensure cohesive messaging and brand alignment
  • Serve as a key voice in product development and lifecycle management, providing market intelligence and competitive insights

Product Positioning & Messaging

  • Develop clear, differentiated, and compelling value propositions for all public market investment strategies
  • Craft audience-specific messaging frameworks tailored to institutional investors, financial advisors, and retail clients
  • Translate complex investment philosophies and portfolio construction approaches into accessible, persuasive narratives
  • Ensure consistency of product messaging across all channels and touchpoints

Go-to-Market Execution

  • Lead go-to-market planning and execution for new product launches and existing strategy repositioning
  • Collaborate with CPM teams to develop sales enablement tools, including pitch books, one-pagers, FAQs, and competitive analyses
  • Partner with digital marketing to optimize product content across web, email, and digital platforms
  • Oversee the development of thought leadership content, including partnering with various content creators across CPM teams and other internal SMEs, that supports product narratives and drives brand authority

Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis

  • Monitor competitive landscape, industry trends, and investor sentiment to inform product positioning and strategy
  • Conduct regular competitive benchmarking across peer asset managers and product categories
  • Leverage data and analytics to measure marketing effectiveness and optimize campaigns

Regulatory & Compliance Oversight

  • Ensure all marketing materials comply with SEC, FINRA, and applicable regulatory requirements globally
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to maintain a robust review and approval process for all product communications

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in product marketing, CPM, product management, or investment communications within asset management or financial services
  • Deep knowledge of public market investment strategies including equities, fixed income, ETFs, etc.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful content, positioning, go-to-market strategies for investment products
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex investment concept
  • Strong understanding of institutional, intermediary (wirehouse, RIA, broker-dealer), and retail distribution channels
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams

Preferred

  • MBA or CFA designation strongly preferred
  • Experience with ETF product marketing and the evolving active ETF landscape
  • Familiarity with digital marketing platforms, CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), and marketing analytics
  • Knowledge of SEC marketing rule compliance and investment advertising regulations
  • Experience working in a matrixed, global organization
