Job description

Job Summary and Qualifications

General Statement of Duties: Under general supervision, supervises the activities of food service personnel engaged in the preparation and serving of meals. May occasionally have sole responsibility to open/close and supervise the food service department.

Essential Job Functions: 

1. Maintains or exceeds department standards for accuracy, cost, appearance, quality, and timeliness. 

2. Demonstrates, understands, and practices safe food handling techniques. Including dating/labeling, time/temperature measurements, correcting critical control issues. 

3. Demonstrates leadership, initiative, and creativity in working with the food service employees to achieve the daily goals and tasks. 

4. Encourages a team- oriented environment that enhances productivity and morale and assigns staff to accomplish daily tasks and goals. 

5. Corrects issues with food/equipment as quickly and appropriately as necessary to provide all customers with a quality product. 

6. Completes all quality assurance, and performance improvement projects accurately and in a timely manner.

What qualifications you will need:

Required Knowledge, Skill, Abilities and Other Job-Related Characteristics (KSAOs) Minimum Education and Experience: 2 years food service experience required. 

Minimum License and Certificates Required: Food Handlers permit or must obtain during the first two weeks of hire date.
