Job description

Position: Neuropsychologist, Assistant/Associate/Professor

West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry in the WVU School of Medicine seek a qualified Neuropsychologist for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will practice in Morgantown, WV, and join the staff of the Neuropsychology Service at WVU Medicine, which currently consists of 15 neuropsychologists, three postdoctoral residents, interns, practicum students, and nine psychometrists.

Responsibilities
  • Provide neuropsychological services for adult patients with a broad range of neurologic conditions such as memory disorders, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and others.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to deliver care based on neuropsychologist interview and interpretation, supported by psychometrist-administered testing.
  • Supervise interns and postdoctoral neuropsychology fellows in the APPCNโ€‘member program.
  • Provide teaching to medical students, residents, and other healthโ€‘science trainees on topics relevant to psychology/neuropsychology.
  • Develop collaborative research activities based on applicant interest.
Qualifications
  • Completed a doctoral degree from an APA or CPA accredited psychology program.
  • Completed an internship with experience in neuropsychology.
  • Completed a postdoctoral fellowship with specialization in neuropsychology.
  • Eligible for state licensure and board eligible/board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology in Clinical Neuropsychology.
  • For appointment at the Professor rank, Board Certification (ABPP) in neuropsychology is required.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
