General Description Psychiatric Social Worker Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital - Huntington, WV Make a Difference in Mental Health Care. Candidates must successfully pass a background screening. Minimum Qualifications Education (Must qualify based on one of the following): Bachelor's degree or higher in Social Work from an accredited college or university. Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Psychology, Counseling, or Criminal Justice from an accredited college or university.

Provisional License Note: Individuals must first be determined eligible for a Provisional License and should request an Eligibility Application. An eligibility determination is not a license but indicates to potential employers that the individual is eligible for a Provisional License if hired. Upon hiring, the individual must obtain an approved licensing supervisor and return the Provisional License Agreement to the Board.

After approval and payment of the license fee, the individual may be issued a Provisional License.
