Job Title: Executive Director

Reports to: Regional Director of Operations

FLSA Status: Exempt


Position Summary

Provision Living Executive Directors lead all strategic and operational aspects of the community and are responsible for oversight in areas including people experience, business development and sales, customer service and fiscal and clinical management. As the business leader, you will lead the operation with an entrepreneurial spirit while being available to the residents and staff as the community requires. You will be expected to be able to make quick, informed decisions within regulatory compliance guidelines. You are committed to carrying out an exceptional people experience for your team members and ensuring our residents thrive in the environment you're overseeing.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Oversee all department managers in sales, dining, nursing, activities, and maintenance including:


  • Financial management of the community; including identifying operational issues and implementing solutions to meet Operating Margin goals and assist department managers in maintaining budgets, while following outlined policies and procedures.
  • Areas that directly affect occupancy, i.e. curb appeal, community sales culture, team member involvement
  • Creating an environment where residents are thriving by planning, carrying out and evaluating activities and other services based on the needs, interests, and choices of the residents
  • Inspect the community on a frequent basis to ensure that maintenance needs and requests are processed timely to provide a safe living and working environment for residents and team members. 
  • Ensuring that emergency procedures are in place and working
  • Observe the dining experience to ensure that safety standards are followed for food service and for providing an exceptional dining experience for the residents
  • Serve as the primary contact with governmental agencies; participate in surveys/inspections and develop plans for correction; subsequently ensuring that plans are executed as submitted.
  • Ensure the Encircle operating procedure is being followed through on-time face to face meeting with resident and/or responsible party. 
  • Monitor level of care changes and communicate financial obligations/changes when necessary.
  • Oversee monthly billing generation with support from Home office ensuring that invoices are accurate and distributed timely.
  • Maintain state regulatory compliance as well as compliance with all company policies and procedures at all times
  • Manage all aspects of staffing, including participating in the practice of hiring, training, and implementing corrective action when necessary 
  • Maintain an updated knowledge of all Provision Living goals, policies, practices and procedures
  • Encourages teamwork and collaboration and cultivates an inclusive community culture

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance to the Company policies, the Code of Ethical Business Conduct and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university; or equitable experience


Skills/Experience Required

  • Administrator license (if required by State regulations)
  • Experience with leading a senior living community (assisted living and memory care) is strongly preferred; with a solid understanding of dementia and Alzheimers
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
  • Experience in implementing overall company strategies and initiatives
  • Understanding of finance, accounting, budgeting, human resources, and sales basics
  • Effective problem solving and conflict management skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive or difficult issues with grace and confidence
  • Flexibility to adopt and adapt with frequent operational changes
  • An exceptional ability to form relationships with staff, residents and their families to grow satisfaction and census


Travel

Employee must be able to travel 10% of the time.
