Based in St. Louis, Provision Living currently operates 18 senior living communities in Missouri, Michigan, Tennessee, Mississippi and Ohio, serving nearly 1,000 older adults
Job Description
Responsible for the preparation and serving of meals, sanitation of food service areas, accurate record keeping, receiving, rotating and inventory of products and regulatory compliance, reporting to the Dining Manager to enhance the residents' dining experience. This position is an essential partner in the operation and food preparation of the Dining Services department. It is vitally important that the Cook prepares appealing, nutritious, heart-healthy, tasteful, fresh food for residents and guests of their community.
Qualifications
Two (2) years of dining experience in healthcare, hospitality, or a senior care community with proven leadership and organizational skills, state required food preparation license required.
Strong knowledge of all Federal, State, and facility regulations regarding sanitation and infection control.
Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts and 3-5 years of past experience
Accredited culinary training and 5-7 years of past experience
ServSafeยฎ Manager certification, required OR must obtain one within 60 days of hire
Applicable State licensure, required
Other Qualifications:
Must possess a general knowledge of laws and restrictions regarding Assisted Living, Memory Care and Independent Living (where applicable), as well as a solid understanding of opportunities and limits of other levels of care within senior living.
Must exhibit and promote a high level of customer service, hospitality, curiosity and friendliness towards all prospects, residents, visitors, associates and the overall community.
Additional Information
Computer Skills:
Proficiency in Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word applications.
Physical Demands:
To perform this mission successfully, an individual should possess the physical ability to lift/move 50lbs, maintain a stationary position, move freely, operate equipment, ascend/descend freely, position self to reach equipment above
