Defy Medical is a concierge medical clinic that is based in Tampa and remotely throughout the country with our telehealth services. We are quickly growing in our field with specialized and individualized preventative and restorative therapies. Defy is committed to improving the lives of our patients while maintaining the highest level of care through the process.
What Are We Looking For?
Defy Medical is looking for a Patient Services Representative to add to our growing team. The Patient Services Team plays a pivotal role in the patient care plan. Through patience, integrity, education, and understanding a Patient Services Representative will guide our patients to feeling better and improving their lives.
A Patient Services Representative at Defy Medical is outgoing and enjoys helping people. They can adapt and learn new computer programs quickly. Multitasking, communication, and critical thinking are pillars for a Patient Services Representative. Customer service is the key element to being successful in this role.
Responsibilities

  • Communicating with clients, medical assistants, and nurses within the organization.
  • Maintain client and employee privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Explaining treatment procedures to patients and providing follow up education
  • Answer multi-line phone system and take appointments or direct calls to the appropriate department.
  • Answer high volume of incoming calls
  • Check voicemails and return customer calls
  • Maintain email communication with patients, vendors and co-workers daily
  • Organize and maintain cleanliness of working areas, supplies, and equipment
  • Provide customer service and apply problem solving skills to client complaints and provide follow up to ensure satisfaction
  • Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice
Qualifications
  • 1 + years in healthcare preferred
  • High School Diploma (associates in healthcare preferred)
  • Ability to execute active listening and problem-solving skills to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent inter-personal relationship skills and the ability to work with individuals of all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including phone and e-mail etiquette.
  • Ability to effectively learn and utilize multiple computer programs.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Shift Available
  • Monday-Friday 12:15pm-9:00pm

  • $17.50/hour (not negotiable)
