Bore Hole Data Management (BHDM) Consultant
Position Summary
Halliburton is seeking a Bore Hole Data Management (BHDM) Consultant to support and enhance the company's borehole and well data management environment. This individual will be responsible for maintaining drilling and well data integrity, supporting users, troubleshooting data issues, and ensuring accurate integration of subsurface and drilling information across Halliburton's technical applications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support Halliburton's Bore Hole Data Management (BHDM) platform and related drilling data systems.
  • Manage well, drilling, logging, directional drilling, and completions data throughout the lifecycle of a well.
  • Investigate and resolve data quality, validation, and integrity issues.
  • Work closely with geologists, geophysicists, drilling engineers, petrophysicists, and data management teams.
  • Import, validate, reconcile, and maintain well data from multiple internal and external sources.
  • Support integration between BHDM and upstream applications such as OpenWorks, DecisionSpace, WellView, EDM, OpenWells, and other drilling or subsurface systems.
  • Create and maintain data standards, workflows, and documentation.
  • Analyze user requests and provide technical support for data-related issues.
  • Assist with data migration, system upgrades, and modernization initiatives.
  • Develop SQL queries, reports, and automation to improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with Halliburton data governance and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience supporting borehole, drilling, well, geological, or subsurface data management environments.
  • Strong understanding of upstream oil & gas workflows.
  • Experience with one or more:
    • OpenWorks
    • EDM
    • OpenWells
    • WellView
    • DecisionSpace
    • Landmark applications
    • Peloton applications
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work directly with technical users and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Halliburton Landmark technologies.
  • Knowledge of WITSML data standards.
  • Python scripting or automation experience.
  • Experience supporting well log, drilling, directional drilling, and completions datasets.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data management environments.
