Office Assistant

General Description:
The Office Assistant is responsible for ensuring the efficient and smooth day-to-day operations at the Providence Corporation central office. The incumbent must have excellent oral and writing skills, as well as efficiency in project management and delivery. The incumbent must have excellent organizational skills.
Reporting Structure:
Reports to the Human Resources Personnel
Specific Duties:
  • Promote desired corporate image with all contacts.
  • Perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision including, maintaining filing systems, preparing and updating reports, etc.
  • Assume responsibility for maintenance and support of office equipment, including computers, copy machines, cell phones, etc.
  • Maintain office/residential supplies by conducting inventory and ordering needed items in a timely manner.
  • Handle confidential information in accordance with Providence Corporation policies and procedures.
  • Schedule meetings, appointments, etc.
  • Assists with training of administrative and non-administrative employees.
  • Generate memos, emails, reports, as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • 3 years of medical clerical experience
  • 3 years of experience with standard Microsoft office projects such as Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to analyze and revise operating practices to improve efficiency
  • Superior organization skills and dedication to completing assigned projects in a timely manner

Starting at $20 per hour, but dependent on qualifications and experience
