At Baptist Senior Family, we're looking for a skilled HVAC Mechanic to join our Environmental Services team. In this vital role, you'll help ensure our residents, staff, and visitors enjoy reliable heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems throughout our campus.

Your expertise will support a wide range of systems across our campus, from residential HVAC units and cooling towers to refrigeration equipment and ventilation systems. What You'll Do
Maintain HVAC Systems

Perform repairs on water source heat pumps, including compressors, reversing valves, thermal expansion valves, refrigerant charging, and related components.
Maintain and repair HVAC systems throughout the Providence Point campus, including patio homes.
Ensure equipment in the main plant and satellite mechanical rooms operates efficiently and remains leak-free.
Troubleshoot heating and cooling issues and implement effective solutions.


Service Ventilation & Mechanical Equipment

Perform maintenance and repairs on ventilation units, energy recovery units, exhaust fans, and rooftop equipment.
Service large ventilation systems, including motor lubrication, filter replacement, bearing replacement, and coil cleaning.
Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, schematics, and specifications.


Support Refrigeration Operations

Maintain and repair coolers, freezers, refrigerators, ice machines, and related dining service equipment.
Diagnose and resolve refrigeration and mechanical system issues.
Ensure refrigeration equipment operates safely and efficiently.


Monitor Facility Systems

Oversee chemical treatment systems for cooling towers and courtyard fountains.
Perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment performance and longevity.
Maintain a safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing environment throughout the campus.


Provide Emergency Response Support

Respond to after-hours emergency calls as needed, including weekends.
Assist with facility maintenance projects and other assigned duties.
Support the Environmental Services team in maintaining operational excellence.


Work Schedule

Full-Time position 8am-4:30pm, some on-call times.

Requirements

Required:

High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum five (5) years of HVAC field experience.
EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.
Thorough knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
General knowledge of refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and mechanical engineering drawings.
Comprehensive knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electrical equipment related to HVAC systems.
Ability to install and service electrical motors up to 25 horsepower.
Current Class C Pennsylvania Driver's License.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work indoors, outdoors, on ladders, and in confined spaces as needed.


Preferred:

Experience working in healthcare, senior living, commercial, or institutional facilities.
Advanced experience with water source heat pumps and large-scale ventilation systems.
Strong preventative maintenance and diagnostic troubleshooting skills.
