Job description

Position Summary
The Donor Relations Assistant provides administrative support to The Salvation Army Northern Division's Donor Relations team. The Assistant is responsible for the gift acknowledgement process, fundraising support, and special event planning.
Wage: $21.03 - $23.42
25 hours per week
2445 Prior Ave N, Roseville, MN 55113
Essential Functions (approximate time spent)
  • Assist with and coordinate various special events and projects (20%).
  • Assign and/or create and send gift acknowledgments (20%).
  • Oversee all mailings (20%).
  • Maintain accurate, detailed donor files (10%).
  • Facilitate donor and prospect research requests (10%).
  • Maintain up-to-date high-volume donor databases (10%).
  • Create donor marketing materials and mailings (5%).
  • Respond to information requests and direct calls appropriately (5%).

Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Two years college coursework preferred.
  • Two years of relevant experience required.
  • Must pass background checks.

Competencies
  • Willing to support and promote the philosophy, goals, and mission of The Salvation Army.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High level of honor in dealing with confidential information.
  • Works with integrity, valuing honesty and diligence.
  • Competency with donor database systems, PC, Microsoft Office, and standard office equipment required.

Working Conditions
  • Moderate physical work and must be able to lift 50 pounds required.
  • Professional environment; not eligible for a remote-friendly work environment.
  • Must be able to sit, communicate clearly in English, and work in person or on the phone for reasonable periods.
