Job description

Position Purpose

The Provider Recruiter is responsible for all provider recruitment activities and functions to ensure a continual pipeline of high quality, excellent qualified provider candidates. Activities associated in full cycle recruitment process includes relationship building, consulting and collaboration with hiring leaders to understand staffing needs, develop and execute recruitment strategies, sourcing, conference and career fair attendance, initial candidate contact and vetting, preliminary verification and references, offer preparation, management of interview process, contract negotiations, and ensures a smooth onboarding process for new hires. The incumbent plays a crucial role in building a talented and diverse healthcare workforce to meet the organization's staffing requirements working in close collaboration with all Provider Recruitment team members, hiring leaders and Renown Medical Group Executive Leadership Team members as well as other applicable Renown Health departments involved in the hiring and onboarding process.

Nature and Scope

The Provider Recruiter performs all duties in a manner that promotes the organization’s mission, values and philosophies. The Incumbent must maintain and exhibit, at all times, high standards of courtesy, performance, human relation skills and personal and professional appearance. This position requires a flexible schedule and ability to meet deadlines and accommodate concurrent recruitment priorities.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • In collaboration with Renown Medical Group Leadership and physicians, understands all provider recruitment activities to meet the organization’s strategic goals as well as the needs of our community. Maintains a general working knowledge of Renown Health as an Organization and relevant specialty departments, community relationships, affiliations, and strategic goals.
  • In Collaboration with Renown Medical Group and service-line leadership, develops and implements strategic provider recruitment planning based upon established short-term and longer-term staffing needs identified.
  • Maintains and exhibits comprehensive knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of Physicians and APCs within Renown Medical Group Specialty areas.
  • Responsible for or direction of sourcing and vetting functions in assigned specialty areas including outreach visits, advertising/marketing, cold/warm prospect calling, initial contact, reference checks, and preliminary verification of candidates.
  • Works closely with Senior Management to support, identify and execute specialized recruitment strategies for high-demand, hard-to-fill specialties.
  • Responsible for all sourcing and vetting functions in assigned specialty areas including outreach visits, advertising/marketing, cold/warm prospect calling, initial contact, reference checks, and preliminary verification of candidates.
  • Generation of leads, potential prospects, and eventual candidates for warm pass to Recruiter by utilization of various sourcing channels and research methodologies from social medial, databases, print materials, phone, and on-line sources.
  • Maintains close ties and relationship with residency training programs (local and regional) as recruitment source.
  • Responsible for orchestration of phone interviews, video conferences and site visits for candidates and family.
  • Maintains working knowledge of Provider Compensation and Fair Market Value methodologies.
  • Responsible for partnering with RMG Leadership to prepare and extend offers and facilitates contractual negotiations.
  • Guides all provider recruitment activities in a manner that confirms with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Fosters and preserves relationship with providers to ensure quality onboarding experience.
  • In conjunction with Provider Recruitment Coordinator, responsible for ensuring the completion of all necessary aspects of onboarding including, State Licensures, Credentialing and Privileging and Human Resource requirements.
  • Maintains timely data tracking and CMS tools for all prospects and candidates who are identified throughout recruitment process to foster accuracy of tracking and reporting.
  • Maintains and manages pertinent physician recruitment expenses management as required.
  • Continually works to identify, improve on processes, procedures, policies and techniques to recruit providers and better serve department customers.
  • In Collaboration with Provider Relations and Retention, maintains physician and APC retention strategies to include, but not limited to, surveying providers regarding the recruitment process, onboarding process, and their experience at regular intervals during their first year of practice providing feedback to leadership.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Must have working-level knowledge of English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.

Experience:

Minimum of one to three years of sourcing and/or recruiting experience in a corporate or search firm environment required. Experience in healthcare industry or direct experience with physician recruitment, specialized technical or executive recruitment, or provider relations highly preferred.

License(s):

None.

Certification(s):

CPRP Certification through the Association for Advancing Physician and Provider Recruitment (AAPPR) preferred. Comparable recruitment certification may be considered in lieu of AAPPR.

Computer / Typing:

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
