EdTech Product Lead (NYC)

Job description

A category-defining platform is fusing community, gaming, and credentialed learning into a single global experience, backed by the academic credibility of one of the country's most innovative university systems. The founding product team is small, entrepreneurial, and obsessed with building a place where people don't just take courses — they belong to something. We're looking for a senior product leader who has actually built and scaled a community-first digital experience, not administered one. The right person operates like a founder: comfortable with ambiguity, energized by building a team and function largely from scratch, and driven by the challenge of turning passionate users into a lasting community. This is a rare chance to shape a new product category at global scale, from the ground floor.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product leadership experience in gaming-adjacent learning technology or niche community ecosystems.
  • Direct, hands-on experience building and scaling community-driven products — engagement loops, network effects, user-generated content, or gamified experiences.
  • Deep fluency in how large-scale online communities actually work, and the ability to translate that fluency into product strategy for a learning and gaming audience.
  • A track record of measurable results: scaling user growth, engagement, or retention within a community or platform product.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree welcome but not required.

If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.

Our client is only considering candidates who are excited to work a hybrid role in NYC!
