Freight Forwarding & Third-Party Logistics

Base Salary: $75,000 - $120,000
OTE: $140,000 - $220,000
Position Summary
The Director, National Accounts is responsible for actively soliciting and securing new business that advances the company's strategic financial growth objectives. This role identifies potential key accounts representing a significant domestic and global opportunity, and uses a consultative, facilitative sales approach to determine and pursue viable opportunities to sell Radiant Road & Rail services.
Key Responsibilities
  • Identify potential market segments and target companies for the full range of Radiant Road & Rail / Radiant Global Logistics services.
  • Manage a detailed, professional sales process from prospect identification through solution design, negotiation, and close of new business.
  • Lead the discovery and assessment of target customers' logistics and transportation management needs, aligned with their corporate strategies.
  • Lead a cross-functional Radiant Road & Rail team, including logistics service partners, in evaluating requirements and designing solutions that deliver clear, defined value to customers.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers' middle and senior management, bringing ideas and strategies that create differentiated value.
  • Develop and deliver detailed proposals and presentations for services.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams critical to account success, including IT, Supply Chain Services, Operations, Pricing, Administration, and Finance.
  • Represent the company at transportation industry events and associations.
  • Contribute to the development of Radiant Road & Rail / Radiant Global Logistics vision and long-term strategic goals, including input on volume, margin, and revenue growth.
  • Cross sell Radiant Road & Rail / Radiant Global Logistics services where possible.
  • Provide input to the annual budget.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as required.

Qualifications
Education and Industry Knowledge
  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in Logistics, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline is an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven sales success and experience in transportation / logistics.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the North American transportation industry, including highway (domestic and cross-border), with a strong emphasis on intermodal.
  • Strong knowledge of IT-based, end-to-end supply chain solutions management.
  • Bachelor / Associate degree in Logistics, Business, Marketing or related discipline is an asset.

Work Schedule & Environment
