Who are we looking for?

GHD has an exciting opportunity for a new Proposal Manager II To lead pursuit and proposal activities and manage the development and implementation of pursuit plans and strategy

This role can be based at any of our central offices with a hybrid schedule of 3 days in office.

Primary Functions:

    Manage the proposal efforts for CRM clients throughout Americas.
    Lead proposal strategy discussions GNGs, and kick-off meetings for large pursuits and ensuring strategic win themes are effectively incorporated throughout the proposal.
    Drive development and manage proposal team (technical leader, proposal coordinator, graphics, etc.).
    Collaborate with team in the development of various proposal sections including Management, Personnel, Executive Summaries, and/or other Volumes as assigned.
    Facilitate color reviews.
    Facilitate production and delivery of finished product, while complying with all RFP requirements.
    Manage the interview development and production process from start to finish.
    Lead and engage in project specific and client capture planning.
    Engage in the interview process to meet all client needs and align proposal themes and messaging with the knowledge collected throughout the positioning phase.
    Attend interview preparation and practice sessions; support the team with presentation skills and delivery.
    Attend client pre-proposal and debrief meetings; share lessons learned and best practices across teams.
 

Clients & People:

    Internal proposal specialists/managers, projects managers, subject matter experts, and technical and    proposal staff.
    Interact with project managers, marketing and communications groups, and drafting department.    Manage       proposal team to stay on schedule.
     Manage and assign tasks to Proposal Coordinator during proposal development.
     Manage Graphic Design support during proposal and interview development.

Key Performance Indicators: 

    Manage the successful development of compliant, competitive, cogent, and compelling proposals through effective collaboration across teams.
    Prepare and lead consistent and efficient proposal GNGs, kick-off meetings, group status calls, ensuring activities adhere to the Strategic Win Plan.
    Ensure the high-quality content and appearance of final proposal deliverables
    Ensure efficient communication with all team members are aligned and working cohesively towards common goals.
    Manage entire proposal development schedule allowing time for team members to provide feedback on drafts and revisions.
    Ensure visual elements are completed and integrated efficiently. 
 

Qualifications and Competencies

    Bachelor's or master's degree
    Five to seven years of experience leading the proposal process from prepositioning phases through interview and driving teams to develop complaint and coemptive bids for an engineering, construction or professional services organization.
    Proficient in marketing techniques (layout, graphics, strategy-to-win)
    Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
    Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign) and Photoshop.
    Proficient in Adobe Acrobat.
    Knowledge of Salesforce/PowerBI.
    Ability to manage and work effortlessly with Technical Leaders in any market and service line.
    Proven leadership and strategy development skills.
    Confident personality with the ability to think strategically and help teams develop sound marketing, pursuit and proposal strategies.
    Strong communication skills - both written and oral.
    Good negotiation, problem solving, planning and time management skills.
    Strong organizational and time management skills.
