Overview

Prime Healthcare is an award-winning health system headquartered in Ontario, California. Responsibilities

Responsible for the oversight of real and personal property reporting compliance and appeals management.  Ensure personal property tax returns are timely filed.  Monitor real and personal property tax liabilities and payment approvals.  Review and approve leased equipment tax bills.  Review assessment notices and time sensitive correspondence.  Assist in retaining and working with consultants, attorneys and experts nationwide to ensure appeal opportunities are maximized.  Provide direct assessment reviews, new construction reporting and new construction statements. Perform penalty waivers.  Attend and present assessment appeals hearings when necessary.  Prepare property tax savings reports. Maintain and monitor state and local level tax rules. Oversee maintenance of property tax databases.  Oversee Property Tax Clerks.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

Required qualifications:

1.    Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate

2.    Minimum 15 years of property tax experience

3.    Excellent communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with peers, vendors and other departments.

4.    Ability to prioritize, work within time constraints and detail oriented.

5.    Intermediate Microsoft Excel and knowledge of Office applications.

6.    Able to resolve basic to intermediary problems independently.

7.    Time management skills, self-motivated, well organized individual.

8.    Competence in creating and analyzing financial reports.

9.    Ability to read and interpret real estate and basic legal documents.

10.  Proven ability to manage and develop staff.

1.    Member of Institute of Professional Taxation

2.    Member of IREM

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
