Job description

Our Finance team is expanding and looking to add a Tax Intern. We are looking for a dynamic and driven candidate who is interested in joining a fast-growing global company in the automotive sector.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Corporate, Federal & State Tax
    • Assist in preparing federal, state, and local income/franchise tax returns and supporting workpapers.
    • Support quarterly and annual tax provision processes, including deferred tax calculations.
    • Assist in responding to IRS and state tax notices or audits.
  • R&D Tax Credit
    • Gather and analyze data to support R&D tax credit studies.
    • Assist in documenting qualified research activities and expenses.
    • Help prepare supporting schedules and reports for R&D credit filings.
  • Transfer Pricing
    • Support preparation of transfer pricing documentation reports.
    • Collect financial and operational data from various business units to support intercompany pricing analysis.
  • Property Tax
    • Assist with gathering property tax data and supporting documentation.
    • Help prepare property tax returns and assessments.
    • Support reconciliation and analysis of property tax payments.
  • General Tax Projects
    • Conduct basic tax research and summarize findings to support compliance and planning.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Accounting, Finance, Legal, Operations) to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
    • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives across tax areas.

To be a qualified candidate you must have the following:

  • Ability to work on-site
  • Have completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
