Milhaus Summer Intern Experience

Spend your summer with us! The Milhaus Summer Internship Experience is an 8-12 week program designed to give future professionals meaningful workplace experience. Our program is designed to provide hands-on experience, exposure to our executive team, a collaborative group project as well as fun outings & activities. Position Summary

The Construction Intern assists the Project Management and Field Supervision teams in the management of Milhaus Construction projects. Construction interns will be expected to review plans and specifications and project documentation (including submittals, RFIs, etc.) through use of the Project Management software, ProCore. The intern will assist with meeting notes, submission of RFIs and product submittals as well as communication with project vendors, subcontractors and the design team.


Key Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret Project Drawings and Specification
  • Reviews submittals, RFI responses, Architect's Supplemental Instructions, etc. and distribute in a timely manner to the field and subcontractors/vendors
  • Record and meeting notes and distribute to involved parties
  • Learn about the Project Management process and why it is important
  • Support our Field Staff daily
  • Develop an understanding of a Project's Field Operations
  • Be involved in project operation meetings to understand the overall health of a project

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a College or University to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Related Field
  • Proficient in: Microsoft Office
  • Strong Math and Technology Skills
