Job description

Property Accountant – Salt Lake City, UT
  • Responsible for all accounting and financial reporting for assigned properties.
  • Close month end accounting entries and reconcile balance sheets & profit and loss statements.
  • Maintain general ledger, journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Working knowledge of mortgage/escrow and draw agreements as well as management agreements.
  • Verify escrow taxes, insurance, and process monthly mortgage and distributions.
  • Review payables, deposits, and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  • Assist with annual audits.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience, with minimum of 1 year of Property Accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite. Yardi, AppFolio, Entrata or CYMA, is a plus.
  • Previous experience in real estate/property management accounting is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
