Position Summary

The Assistant Property Manager supports the Property Manager in the daily operations of the apartment community. This role assists with leasing activities, resident relations, rent collections, administrative responsibilities, and overall property performance while helping ensure a positive living experience for residents.

The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, excellent customer service abilities, and prior experience in multifamily property management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the daily operations of the apartment community.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to current and prospective residents.
  • Support leasing efforts, including touring apartments and processing applications.
  • Assist with rent collections, resident accounts, and delinquency follow-up.
  • Prepare reports, maintain resident files, and complete administrative tasks.
  • Coordinate maintenance requests and communicate with residents regarding work orders.
  • Help monitor occupancy, lease renewals, and resident retention.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct property inspections and help maintain community standards.
  • Address resident concerns professionally and escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Support the Property Manager with budgeting, vendor coordination, and special projects as needed.
QualificationsRequired
  • Previous experience as an Assistant Property Manager, Leasing Consultant, or similar role within a multifamily apartment community.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.
  • Experience with rent collections, leasing, and administrative duties.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
Preferred
  • Experience with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, Entrata, RealPage, Blue Moon, or similar platforms.
  • CAM or other industry certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with resident retention, vendor coordination, and financial reporting.
Work Environment
  • Professional office setting within a multifamily apartment community.
  • Frequent interaction with residents, vendors, and onsite team members.
  • Fast-paced environment requiring multitasking and strong attention to detail.
  • Occasional weekend availability may be required.
