Account Manager โ€“ Insurance ServicesPosition Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Account Manager to support and maintain strong relationships with our insurance clients. This role is responsible for servicing existing accounts, assisting with new business placement, managing renewals, and ensuring exceptional customer experience through daily communication with clients, carriers, and internal team members.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced insurance environment.


Key ResponsibilitiesClient Service & Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary contact for existing clients, responding promptly to inquiries regarding policies, coverage, billing, and documentation.

  • Provide policy updates, issue certificates and other documentation, process payments, and answer coverage-related questions.

  • Handle customer calls, emails, and correspondence for both new and existing policies.

  • Assist clients with claims reporting, including after-hours claim support when required.

New Business & Marketing Support
  • Work directly with new clients or support producers in assessing insurance needs.

  • Gather underwriting information, research coverage options, prepare quotes, and present recommendations.

  • Bind new coverage, coordinate cancellation of prior policies, and negotiate terms with carriers when needed.

  • Assist in reviewing policies for renewal, evaluating exposures, liability limits, replacement costs, and additional coverage opportunities.

Policy Administration & Documentation
  • Process renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and account updates.

  • Review policy documents and audits for accuracy and facilitate corrections between client and carrier.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all customer interactions within the agency management system.

Problem Resolution
  • Address service or coverage concerns by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.

  • Communicate clearly with clients regarding next steps and ensure timely follow-up until resolution is complete.

Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with internal team members to ensure seamless service delivery.

  • Provide support, share knowledge, and participate in team meetings and ongoing training initiatives.

  • Mentor or assist colleagues when appropriate.


Qualifications
  • Active North Carolina Property & Casualty (P&C) or Life & Health (L&H) license required.

  • Minimum of two years of insurance service experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

  • Strong working knowledge of insurance products, underwriting guidelines, rating procedures, coverage analysis, and industry practices.

  • Agricultural background (personal or professional) preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer-service mindset.

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills to review premiums, limits, and coverage details.
