What We Need:

We are in search of Part-Time Promotions/Event Assistants to assist the Promotions & Marketing department with daily activities that promote our stations, clients and events. Our NYC brands include WHTZ (Z100 New York), WKTU (103.5 KTU), WLTW (106.7 Lite FM), WAXQ (Q104.3 & NY Jets Radio Network), WWPR-FM (Power 105.1), WOR-AM (710 WOR), WWRL (1600 BIN), iHeartRadio Broadway.
The ideal candidate will be a current college student or recent college graduate with a strong interest in one or more of the following fields:
- Field Marketing
- Experiential Marketing
- Event Production
- Advertising
- Promotions
- Live Audio Production/Engineering

What You'll Do:

  • Create an exciting atmosphere while interacting face-to-face with listeners.
  • Represent the iHeartRadio NYC brands on the ground at community/charity-focused events, local concerts, retail locations, parks, beaches, restaurants, bars, etc.
  • Overall general promotion of iHeartRadio's app, events, stations, podcasts as well as our sponsors.
  • Execute events from start to finish (coordinating with on-site contact, handing out station giveaways, setting up and breaking down equipment including sound systems, folding tables, tents, other branding, etc.)
  • Assist at all iHeartMedia New York tent-pole events (inclusive of Z100's Jingle Ball, Power 105.1's Powerhouse, 106.7 Lite FM's Broadway in Bryant Park). Duties can range from working credential check-in tables, sponsor activation support, production support, and talent escorting.
  • Assist the Engineering department with the technical execution of live remote broadcasts.
  • Capture and recap promotional events via photos, video, audio, social media, etc.
  • Load and unload station vehicles before and after events.
  • Drive station vehicles (SUVs, Cargo Vans, Pickup Trucks) to events.
  • Assist with administrative duties as needed.
  • Assist with contest fulfillment as needed including:
    • Enter winner information into record-keeping system
    • Call and e-mail prize winners
    • Deliver and/or ship prizes to winners

What You'll Need:

  • A valid driver's license (Excellent driving record - Required to pass company DMV background check)
  • Must be energetic, and outgoing and feel comfortable hosting a large crowd (100+ people) over a microphone.
  • Strong interest in events, marketing, promotions, advertising, and live audio production.
  • Organizational skills; ability to prioritize and effectively manage time
  • Familiarity with the NYC Metropolitan Area.
  • Physical ability to stand for multiple hours and lift or move objects of at least 50 lbs.
  • Saturdays, Sundays and 2 weekdays of availability are a MUST. NO EXCEPTIONS. Some holiday availability is required as well. (Popular promotional event holidays include New Year's Eve, St. Patrick's Day, Memorial Day Weekend, Independence Day, Labor Day Weekend, Halloween & Black Friday).
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours/week.
  • Reliable transportation to East Rutherford, NJ (storage warehouse/vehicle garage). NOTE: Public transportation to this location during early morning or late night hours is scarce. Securing your own vehicle is preferred.
  • Reliable transportation to Manhattan (office location)
  • Knowledge of stations' core demographics.
  • The ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must be well-organized and detail-oriented.
  • Calm demeanor and a solutions-oriented attitude.
  • Professionalism around high-profile celebrities.
  • Prior activation or event experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with professional football is a plus.
