Prolec GE designs, manufactures, and sells products and solutions for the generation, transmission, and distribution of electric energy. With more than 50 years’ experience in the industry, Prolec GE is an important player in the Mexican market and a key participant in the rest of the Americas, with business units in Mexico, the United States, and Brazil.


The EHS Technician will assist the EHS Manager with all day-to-day EHS department duties. Within the role, you will apply your EHS knowledge and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for yourself and others, and achieve short-term and long-term business goals


Essential Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain general knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Support incident investigations and drive closure of corrective actions based on root-cause investigations.
  • Assist with environmental, health & safety (EHS) tours, audits, & surveys to document compliance status.
  • Collect data, prepare trending analysis , and prepare reports as required.
  • Enforcement, communication, and improvement of EHS requirements.
  • Conduct pulse audits, prepare EHS instructions, standard operating procedures, job-specific JSA's & plans as assigned.
  • Waste management including maintaining storage areas and coordination of proper disposal.
  • Conducts new hire EHS orientations and other EHS trainings as assigned.
  • Maintain EHS files and records.
  • Help implement new programs, policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as deemed necessary.

Qualifications/Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with 1-2 years previous EHS site experience
