Job description

Job Description Our client is a leading manufacturer of high-performance cooling solutions serving global energy, manufacturing, and data center markets. Known for engineering excellence, reliability, and custom design capabilities, they are experiencing strong growth driven by demand in critical infrastructure sectors, particularly the expansion of hyperscale and edge data centers. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager/Engineer to join our team.

The Project Manager/Engineer owns a project from the point of handoff from the Sales/Application Engineering team through shipment and is the single point of contact for the customer. The Project Manager/Engineer will be required to communicate directly with the customer and remain involved in all aspects of the project from handoff to completion. Key Responsibilities Project Management: Oversee projects once handed off from the Sales/Application Engineering team.

Maintain and manage project documentation, ensuring all relevant information is accurately documented and communicated across departments. Verify and confirm project details, including: Customer Purchase Order (PO) technical requirements. Specification compliance.

Engineering requirements (thermal and mechanical designs using in-house and third-party software). Quality standards and regulatory requirements. Engineering & Documentation: Ensure all necessary documentation is compiled to communicate project requirements with the Design team, including generating Code calculations, detailed engineering specifications, and compliance documentation.

Review and submit approval drawings to customers, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Project Execution & Customer Communication: Conduct project kick-off meetings and coordinate ship dates with Planning, Purchasing, and Production teams. Review and approve manufacturing drawings prior to procurement and fabrication.

Monitor project progress and proactively address any technical or scheduling challenges. Serve as the primary liaison with the customer, providing updates and resolving any concerns related to engineering or scheduling. Coordinate final shipping requirements with customers and, if needed, collaborate with other teams on logistics and shipping documentation.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in project management and engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably specific to air-cooled heat exchangers. Strong understanding of mechanical and thermal design principles.

Experience working with engineering software and project management tools. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of quality and compliance standards related to industrial equipment manufacturing.

Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and calculations. Work Environment: This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. This role uses standard office equipment.

When in the manufacturing facility, all employees are required to wear personal protective equipment to include/hearing protection, and safety glasses with side shields, and OSHA compliant safety boots/shoes. This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m
