As industry leaders in laboratory testing, Bureau Veritas Minerals has extensive operations throughout Australia providing services across the entire exploration and mining project cycle. Our state-of-the-art laboratories are strategically placed to help provide a wide range of inspection and laboratory testing services across a broad range of commodities.  

The Opportunity

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QAQC) Technician to join our on-site laboratory team at Iron Bridge. In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of laboratory data while maintaining strict adherence to Bureau Veritas standards and client contractual requirements. Working on an 8/6 roster with all-day shifts, you'll contribute improvement of our laboratory information management systems and provide valuable feedback to supervisors on quality performance. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your technical expertise in a dynamic, ISO 17025 certified laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quality assurance and quality control processes to ensure laboratory data integrity and accuracy, maintaining compliance with Bureau Veritas standards and client requirements
  • Operate and contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory information management systems (LIMS) used on-site
  • Monitor laboratory quality performance and provide regular feedback to laboratory supervisors and superintendents regarding result quality
  • Conduct routine testing and analysis while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and adherence to standard operating procedures
  • Support the laboratory team in meeting production targets and deadlines while maintaining the highest quality standards

About you

  • Hold a Cert III in Laboratory Techniques or can demonstrate equivalent relevant laboratory experience
  • You have 1-2 years of geo analytical laboratory experience, ideally in a commercial or on-site mine laboratory setting
  • You're a reliable team player with strong communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • You're highly motivated, deadline-focused, and demonstrate a genuine customer focus in everything you do
  • Familiarity with enterprise-level LIMS or prior ISO 17025 laboratory experience
