Project Veritas is a nonprofit organization known for conducting undercover journalism and investigative reporting. Founded by James O’Keefe in 2010, the group claims to expose corruption, dishonesty, and other misconduct in public and private institutions. Project Veritas often uses covert recording techniques to gather information, which has made it a controversial figure in media circles for its methods and the accuracy of its reporting. Supporters argue it brings important issues to light, while critics question its ethics and the potential for misleading editing. The organization operates primarily in the United States and is funded through donations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an investigative journalist, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Investigative Journalist, you need strong research, writing, and analytical skills, typically supported by a degree in journalism or a related field. Familiarity with digital research tools, data analysis software, and multimedia recording equipment is often required. Persistence, ethical judgment, and excellent communication are vital soft skills for building sources and reporting complex stories. These competencies ensure the ability to uncover, verify, and clearly present critical information to the public.
