Job description

Join Our Team of Project Management Professionals

About Us

The Persimmon Group is a management consulting firm specializing in leadership, strategy, and project management/strategy execution. You can think of us as the “Special Ops” of consulting. Over our nearly two decades of operation, we’ve developed a reputation for helping solve our customer’s toughest problems with speed, precision, and impact—even amid rapid change and high uncertainty.

We are driven to help companies work smarter not harder, and we couldn’t do that without our incredibly talented team of project management experts.

Seeking Junior and Mid-Level Project Managers

Our team is growing! We have multiple positions open for junior and mid-level project managers and program managers. We are primarily seeking PM’s who work in either the IT space, or on general business projects that have significant impact on an organization’s strategy and goals.

Our PM’s support various project types, including:

  • Software development or implementation
  • Infrastructure projects
  • Business improvement projects
  • General project coordination

Our consultants work in a variety of industries, including energy, financial services, aerospace, manufacturing, education, healthcare, and technology innovation.

Qualifications

Here is what we look for in an ideal candidate; however, be aware that you could be an excellent candidate without meeting all of these criteria.

  • 3+ years overall Project Management experience
  • Experience working on projects or initiatives that directly tie to an organization’s strategy or overarching goals
  • Ability to develop basic schedules (including task dependencies) using software such as MS Project (preferred), Smartsheets, Teams Planner, etc.
  • Ability to proactively communicate and report on status, issues, risks, and next steps to diverse stakeholders in both formal and informal ways
  • Ability to manage mixed teams of customer, vendor, and partner stakeholders across multiple functions

Why Work at Persimmon?

Our organization attracts people who want to learn fast, work with purpose, and innovate…all in a collaborative, supportive environment. We believe that you can be a Rockstar and a member of the band at the same time, and that asking for help is a strength, not a weakness.

We have built a culture of open, honest, supportive feedback so we can coach each other to achieve more than we could alone. Persimmon is a place where your voice matters because we believe we work with each other, not for each other.

As a member of our PM Community of Practice, you will work side-by-side with project management practitioners spanning multiple industries and experience levels, at a company that will invest heavily in your growth and development.

You can read more about our company, our team, our mission, and our culture here.
