Project Manager - Junior

A Junior Project Manager at PCI Energy Solutions supports the planning and execution of projects related to energy production, distribution, and sustainability. Working under the direction of senior project management staff, they assist with project scheduling, documentation, resource coordination, and the tracking of budgets and timelines. They also help maintain clear communication across teams, stakeholders, and vendors, ensuring project information stays accurate, current, and accessible as they build toward independent project ownership.

  • Track and document changes in project scope, schedule, and costs, escalating issues to senior project staff.
  • Assist in measuring project performance using PCI prescribed systems, tools, techniques.
  • Prepare weekly status reports and communicate updates to the project manager.
  • Support communication with clients and stakeholders; assist in maintaining relationships with third parties/vendors.
  • Assist in identifying, documenting, and monitoring project risks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 0-3 years' experience in project management, project coordination, or a related function; internship or academic project experience will be considered.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification or progress toward PMP a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; familiarity with Microsoft Project a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Must be able to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively with others to accomplish organizational goals and to help identify and resolve problems.
