Description:

The Part Time Operations Assistant supports the Operations teams by completing projects, administrative tasks, and data entry with accuracy and timeliness. This role provides valuable exposure to the daily functions of CNB Bank and its divisions, offering students the opportunity to build practical experience, expand their knowledge of banking operations, and engage within a professional work environment.


Below is a list of essential functions of this position. Additional responsibilities may be assigned in the position.

  • Assist the operations team with projects, administrative assignments, and data entry as needed.
  • Complete assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner to support overall departmental workflow.
  • Gain exposure to and develop foundational knowledge of CNB Bank’s operational functions and its various divisions.
  • Interact professionally with team members and colleagues while working within a fast-paced office environment.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE


To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential position requirement satisfactorily and a skills inventory is listed below. Candidates should be current high school or college students, or recent graduates, who are interested in gaining foundational experience in banking during summer or seasonal breaks. No prior banking experience is required—just a willingness to learn, strong attention to detail, and an interest in developing a broad understanding of how different departments within the Bank work together. A background screening will be conducted. 

  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret documents. Possesses professional communication and interpersonal skills to write and speak effectively both one-on-one and before groups of clients or employees of the organization. Ability to communicate to clients directly and effectively.
  • TECHNOLOGY SKILLS: Possess basic digital literacy and the ability to learn new systems quickly, including banking platforms used for customer account maintenance, research, and data entry. The role requires proficiency with standard office technology such as computers, email, and internal communication tools, along with strong attention to detail when navigating multiple systems and maintaining accurate records. A willingness to adopt new technology, adapt to process changes, and follow established procedures is essential to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance within a regulated banking environment.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to accurately apply basic mathematical concepts—such as addition, subtraction, percentages, and ratios—when reviewing data, completing transactions, and ensuring the precision of operational and client-related work.
  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve challenging problems involving several variables in a standardized situation. 
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.  

This position operates in a professional office environment with considerable time spent at a desk using office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. Noise level is moderate with constant communication and interactions with others. May be required to lift 50 pounds in weight.
