We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Project Manager to join our team at K&A Power Group in Hartford, Connecticut. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects that make a real impact in the energy and utility sectors. Role Expectations:
  • Provide overall management of the project with knowledge & experience in all segments (overhead, substation, and underground), including schedule and budget management.
  • Initiation, Planning, Executing, and Closing Projects - defining the project WBS, Cost Baseline, and OBS structure, initiating the project, building its comprehensive work plan, controlling and managing the risks, scope, schedule, and budget
  • Managing Teams - facilitating commitment and productivity, removing obstacles, and managing teams
  • Oversee the Engineering team and provide support to field & design.
  • Implementation and Management of Quality and Environmental Processes and Procedures on all projects
  • Management of third-party projects
  • Accountable and Responsible for:
    • Cost /Budgeting and Management
    • Communication Management

    • Schedule Management
    • Construction Management Oversight

What we're looking for:
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering, Engineering Management, or Construction Management discipline preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
  • 10-15 years' experience including 3 or more years managing major engineering/ procurement/ construction activities
  • Strong Safety-First Focus
  • Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools
  • Proficiency with financial analysis tools in a utility setting
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with competing priorities and stressful situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to travel to office for meetings

Pay Range $125,000-$145,000/year
