What is a project manager signing bonus?

A project manager signing bonus is a one-time payment offered to new project managers when they accept a job offer with a company. This bonus is typically used as an incentive to attract top talent or to compensate for benefits or bonuses they may be leaving behind at their previous employer. The amount can vary greatly depending on the industry, company, and level of experience. Signing bonuses are usually paid out shortly after the employee starts and may be contingent on staying with the company for a certain period of time.

Job description

OSL is offering a signing bonus to successful candidates after two months!

Area Sales Manager

OSL Retail Services is hiring a driven, inspirational Area Sales Manager to lead Ziply Fiber’s Door-to-Door sales operations across Portland and Northern Oregon. This is a high-impact leadership role for a sales professional who thrives in the field, loves building winning teams, and is ready to take ownership of performance, people, and execution.

Reporting to the Director of Sales, you’ll be accountable for field execution, team development, and results—leading from the front while shaping an exceptional customer and employee experience.

Why OSL?

OSL is an award-winning, people-first organization delivering outsourced sales solutions for some of North America’s most recognized Fortune 500 brands. We believe great people achieve great things—every single day.

Our teams are professional, adaptable, driven, and social by nature. At OSL, culture isn’t just a value—it’s how we win.

Execution Starts with You

As the Area Sales Manager, you’ll lead day-to-day field operations and performance for a team of 10–15 Field Sales Representatives, ensuring results are delivered consistently and sustainably.

You will:

  • Drive performance against key KPIs including quotas, doors knocked, appointments, close rates, territory penetration, and quality metrics (cancellations/chargebacks)
  • Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing D2D sales team in a fast-paced environment
  • Run daily motivational team huddles that energize, align, and focus your team
  • Deliver assigned sales targets and track progress to goal
  • Recruit, onboard, and ramp new team members for success
  • Actively coach and develop talent through feedback, ride-alongs, and performance management
  • Manage weekly schedules, payroll inputs, vacation requests, and employee inquiries
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure flawless program execution
  • Provide field insights on competition, pricing, product acceptance, and customer feedback
  • Lead by example—showing up in the field, owning results, and building trust

What Sets You Apart

You’re a confident, accountable sales driver who knows how to motivate people and deliver results. You’re comfortable operating independently, but you understand that winning is a team sport.

You bring:

  • 3–5 years of experience leading sales teams (telecom experience strongly preferred)
  • Proven success in residential customer acquisition and field sales environments
  • A track record of delivering aggressive goals through people leadership
  • Strong coaching, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Excellent planning, organization, and problem-solving capabilities
  • The ability to adapt quickly, take initiative, and perform with minimal supervision
  • Strong time management skills in a high-volume, high-energy environment

What We Offer

  • Compensation: Competitive base salary of $50,000–$60,000, plus a 50% bonus structure.
  • Generous time off, comprehensive benefits package, and retirement support
  • Top-tier tools: Best-in-class systems and equipment so you can do your best work.
  • OSL Cares: Opportunities to give back through community and charity initiatives.
  • WE at OSL: Supporting women’s empowerment and leadership.
  • Career growth: Ongoing training, development, and programs to help you advance.
  • Award-winning culture: Proud to be one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies for 8 years running — now a Platinum Club member.
  • Invested in you: Structured employee development programs designed to help you thrive.
  • Perks & Discounts: Enjoy savings on electronics, fitness memberships, and more through exclusive employee programs.
  • Culture & Connection: Stay engaged with regular company-wide town halls, team-building events, etc.
  • Committed to Sustainability: We take environmental responsibility seriously by partnering with certified electronic recycling organizations to reduce our ecological footprint.

This position is for an existing vacancy within our sales team.

As part of our recruitment process, we utilize artificial intelligence (AI)-based tools to assist with certain stages, including initial resume screening and skills-matching assessments.
