Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Facilities & Manufacturing Project Manager to lead multiple high-impact operational projects at its Pewaukee, Wisconsin campus. This is not an IT Project Manager role. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing facilities, manufacturing, warehouse, or capital improvement projects from planning through execution.
You will independently manage several concurrent initiatives, including an office remodel, a large-scale document digitization project, and a warehouse redesign, while coordinating cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of project management experience in facilities, manufacturing, warehouse operations, construction, plant operations, or industrial environments.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously from initiation through completion.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and third-party vendors.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound project decisions.
- Proficiency with standard project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Asana, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing office renovations, facility upgrades, warehouse redesigns, or manufacturing improvement projects.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid approaches.
- Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- PMP Certification is a plus, but not required.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Lead multiple concurrent facilities and manufacturing projects, including:
- Office remodel
- Document digitization initiative
- Warehouse redesign
- Manage the complete project lifecycle from planning through successful completion.
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and meet quality expectations.
- Define project objectives, scope, milestones, timelines, and deliverables.
Project Planning & Execution
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Maintain project documentation, business requirements, and project artifacts.
- Track project changes and ensure documentation remains current.
Team Coordination
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Customer Service, Applications, Operations, and Facilities personnel.
- Communicate project plans, schedules, and logistics with employees across the site.
- Organize team activities and balance project resources throughout each project phase.
Vendor & Contractor Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors, suppliers, and external vendors.
- Coordinate vendor activities and ensure work complies with project requirements.
- Resolve vendor issues and escalate concerns when necessary.
Document & Information Management
- Oversee document evaluation, cataloging, digitization, archiving, and secure destruction processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies regarding proprietary and confidential information.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve issues proactively.
- Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure quality control throughout all phases of project execution.
General Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with executives, department leaders, employees, and external partners.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across facilities and operations.
- Perform additional project management responsibilities as assigned.
