Job description


The Project Implementation specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring RCSD realizes its mission of graduation, college and career readiness for all students in Rochester The Project Implementation support assigned school overseeing and supporting all school improvement activities. The position represents one of the key levers for turning around low performing schools and supporting School Principals and their staff to close achievement gaps and ensure equity. The Project Implementation Specialist serves as a critical link by creating coherent, equitable structures and inspiring outstanding leadership. The Project Implementation Specialist will act as thought partner, problem solver, and change agent to internal and external stakeholders with an unwavering commitment to getting the job done. Primary Duties Strategy: Support assigned project or program area to lead the comprehensive improvement of school performance and transformation using an intensified, collaborative and accelerated approach to clear, specific and ambitious performance targets aligned to the District Strategic Plan and as clearly outlined in school plans. Work with school leaders, Principals, Assistant Principals, coaches, teacher leaders, etc., to ensure expertise in analyzing school data. Facilitate professional development for school staff. Provides high quality reports and data that clearly communicate performance toward all annual targets and dynamic intervention strategies to ensure that annual goals and targets are met. Ability to problem solve, analyze and achieve results for all learners. Innovation oriented, team oriented, and data driven leader with high levels of energy and deep commitment to urban youth.
Responsibilities
Inspires, develops, and maintains wholesome school and community relations. Provides leadership and plans for participation in in-service meetings, instructional meetings, and all school programs. Serves on citywide and other professional committees. Develops harmonious staff relationships within the building. .Works collaboratively with school teams to develop and implement high quality, data driven, SCEPS/Continuation Plans aligned with the four domains of rapid school improvement. . Develops data systems and analyzes data as needed. Supports instructional leadership teams through a data wise protocol utilizing the 4-6-week data cycle .Supports the monitoring of data to student centered, equity driven instruction and student growth. Supports the implementation of systems, structures and resources within targeted schools i.e. MTSS .Coaches and facilitates professional learning and supports the development of high-quality professional development plans. Assists schools in understanding implementation science and developing plans accordingly. Gathers network data and identifies trend analysis and facilitates timely response to the data.
Qualifications
Must hold a Masters degree. Must have a valid NYSED School Building (SBL) Leader Certificate. Candidates must possess, and have demonstrated strong leadership, organizational and communication skills, both written and oral. Experience in change management and design thinking. Training and/or experience with Culturally Relevant Education (preferred).
