Manages and oversees all aspects of a single project to ensure successful completion on time and within budget. Responsible for managing project scope, schedule, internal staffing, and contractual deliverables. Prepares status reports for senior management and oversees project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and review activities. Establishes operating policies and procedures to mitigate risk and coordinates personnel and resources required to successfully execute project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Management: Manage a government contract from a mission, objectives, scope, task, and deliverables perspective.
  • Team Leadership and Coordination: Lead and manage a team of approximately 8 personnel; assign tasks, facilitate communication, and resolve issues or conflicts.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Monitor project budgets, allocate resources effectively, and ensure cost control.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement contingency plans.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams; provide regular updates and communicate project status and progress.
  • Quality Assurance and Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, track performance metrics, and ensure deliverables meet established quality standards.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of project management experience, including at least 5 years managing government contracts.
  • Experience managing a government contract valued at $5 million or greater.
  • Experience supervising teams of 5-8 personnel in the delivery of contract requirements, including performance management, goal setting, and disciplinary actions.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
  • Ability to work on-site at TSA Headquarters in Springfield, VA, and the TSA Systems Integration Facility (TSIF) at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Washington, DC, as required by the contract.

The annual salary range for this position is $115,000- $125,000. Actual compensation will depend on a range of factors, including but not limited to the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, certifications, location, other business and organizational needs, and applicable employment laws. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
