Job description

Summary

A growing general contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial, multifamily, and public works construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. With a strong backlog of work and continued growth, this is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team delivering projects throughout the Rochester market.

The ideal candidate has experience managing $20M–$50M commercial construction projects, can successfully lead multiple projects, and is committed to delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage commercial, multifamily, and public works projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts
  • Lead subcontractor buyout, contract administration, and scope coordination
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Coordinate closely with Superintendents to maintain field productivity and project schedules
  • Track job costs, billing, forecasting, and overall financial performance
  • Conduct owner, architect, consultant, and subcontractor meetings
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure successful project execution
  • Identify project risks and implement solutions to maintain schedule and budget goals
  • Oversee project closeout including punch lists, warranties, and final turnover
  • Build and maintain strong client, consultant, and subcontractor relationships
