Job description
Nexus Circular is the commercial leader in advanced recycling technology that converts landfill-bound plastics into circular feedstocks for the production of sustainable virgin plastics for packaging and other applications. Nexus Circular's end-to-end solution is economically validated as demonstrated by consistent bulk sales of high quality, ISCC Plus circular feedstocks for virgin plastic production. Aligned with global partners who seek proven scalable solutions to meet ambitious plastic circularity goals, Nexus Circular is rapidly expanding its innovation footprint worldwide, moving decisively to address the complex challenges of plastics accumulation in the environment.
Nexus has built an outstanding culture. We are looking for people to contribute to a fast-paced, environmentally committed business that is focused on growth and sustainability. We are very collaborative, transparent, data driven, value diverse perspectives and are looking for constructive initiatives and new ideas. We are looking for self-starters and independent thinkers who work collaboratively in teams. Given the growth stage of Nexus, we are also looking for people who are comfortable moving between strategic thinking and executing those ideas to take Nexus to the next level.
Role Overview
The Project Manager, Capital Projects is an owner-side delivery role responsible for developing and executing industrial capital projects across Nexus Circular facilities. The role provides single-point accountability for scope, cost, schedule, risk, engineering integration, procurement, construction, commissioning, operational handover, and financial closeout.
The position will initially assume selected work packages within a larger site program under the direction of capital leadership. As site knowledge and delivery capability develop, the role will transition to independent ownership of multiple concurrent projects and an aggregate capital portfolio of approximately $20 million beginning in 2027.
Role Scope
• Manage individual projects and coordinated work packages generally ranging from approximately $250,000 to $10 million, with increasing aggregate portfolio responsibility.
• Lead projects through intake, FEL / FEED, funding, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup support, handover, and closeout.
• Execute work in operating facilities where permits, isolations, outages, tie-ins, logistics, production constraints, and simultaneous operations must be actively managed.
• Apply Nexus stage-gate governance, project controls, document control, technical assurance, Management of Change (MOC), process-safety, quality, and turnover requirements.
• Coordinate owner, EPC / EPCM, engineering, OEM, contractor, inspection, testing, Operations, Maintenance, EHS, Finance, Procurement, and authority-having-jurisdiction interfaces.
Core Responsibilities
Responsibility Area
Expected Accountabilities
Project Development
Lead intake, problem definition, business cases, alternatives analysis, project charters, design bases, execution plans, milestone schedules, Class 4/3 estimates, funding requests, AFEs, and stage-gate readiness.
