Overview

The Bonadio Group is currently seeking a Resource Manager for the Assurance Service Line. The role of the Resource Manager – Assurance Service Line is to support the VP of Operations in the functions of talent management, retention, operations/scheduling of resources, software ownership and strategy in the Assurance Service Line as well as coordinate similar efforts with the other Resource Managers for the other Service Lines, to ensure all efforts are well coordinated, aligned and effective in supporting the Firm’s current state along with the Firm’s future state.

Responsibilities – Talent and People
  • Develop annual entry level headcount by region and by industry, working with the VP of Operations and Industry Leaders to identify current requirements and future growth intentions.
  • Develop annual intern level headcount to increase the pipeline.
  • Develop 12‑month capacity plans to identify the peaks and valleys of capacity.
  • Approve or deny rehire notifications when an employee terminates.
  • Plan offshore resources, collaborate with Recruiter – Assurance and Offshore Partners to budget headcount and review resumes for interview consideration.
  • Collaborate with HRBP – Assurance to identify employee industry preferences, performance issues, and exceptional performance.
  • Collaborate with HRBP – Assurance and BU to connect employees with performance issues to the correct training.
  • Collaborate with HRBP – Assurance to assign Performance Coaches/Promise Teams.
  • Identify level‑up candidates, work with BU to provide related education, and follow up on their progress.
  • Identify candidates for promotion based on performance and growth in an industry.
  • Hold leaders accountable for providing feedback to the levels below them.
Responsibilities – Scheduling
  • Develop and maintain a client scorecard to prioritize scheduling requests.
  • Lead a team of schedulers in maintaining schedule data.
  • Associate industry preferences with scheduling of resources, especially as staffing moves to higher levels.
  • Allocate managers across the Service Line, focusing on their 3‑4 industries while filling capacity month‑by‑month to maintain utilization balance.
Responsibilities – Operations
  • Determine utilization metrics and measurements, and report to the Service Line to hold people accountable to chargeable hours and utilization.
  • Create annual staff chargeable hour goals.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of public accounting experience or Assurance operations management.
  • Proven leadership experience with demonstrated success managing large teams.
  • Strong project management and process improvement skills; Lean Six Sigma certification a plus.
  • Deep understanding of public accounting systems and workflows.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Tech‑savvy with proficiency in relevant platforms such as Workday, Power BI, and Monday.com.
Compensation and Hours

The salary range for this role is between $80,000 to $90,000.

Hours of Operation: Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Our summer hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. We pride ourselves on our flexibility; however there may be times when additional work hours will be required.
